Newton Longville Festival of Transport

"It is that time of year again for the run up to the Newton Longville Festival of Transport which this year will be held on Sunday 25th May. The format will be the same as previous years (and lets hope the weather is kinder than last year!!) a good day out for the family based around a classic vehicle show. The main changes in place for 2008 are "behind the scenes" we have a web site up and running www.festival-of-transport.co.uk and that now allows everybody who wants to bring a vehicle or book a stand to do it on line. We hope that this will make things a lot easier for everybody. As in previous years, vehicle entries and Club/Charity Stands are free but Commercial Stands do attract a small charge. If you could get this on to the local Lotus Club web site I would be most grateful, and obviously we will be very pleased to see any of the brotherhood who want to come."

Retro and Sports Car Action Day

The entire paddock area is made over to a large display of classic and sportscar clubs ranging from the Austin A35 to some of the latest sportscars and covering just about everything inbetween. With the coveted Club Stand of the Show Award plus the Car of the Show Award, both backed by Auto Trader Magazine, there is an incentive for clubs to put on an eye catching display.

The Retro & Sportscar Action Day offers much more than displaying your cars. The circuit is available for any driver to take to the track in sessions throughout the day. With dedicated sessions for sportscars, classic sports, genuine and modern classics, plus, new for 2008, the 60 Plus Session – The driver and the car must add up to a total of over 60 years. Just about anyone can get on circuit, as long as the car meets our sound limits and the theme of the day.
